For Christmas the younger kids got a 671 piece Lincoln Log set. Add those 671 pieces to the two smaller sets that they already had---and you've got A LOT of Lincoln Logs. They have been building elaborate western-type forts ("The Alamo" is a favorite), houses & huts, little villages, and garages for Colter's pieces of play heavy equipment, among other things, all over our living room floor. Sometimes they add their plastic cowboy & indian figurines and have a shoot-out. Sometimes they add their plastic army men and play war. But the little girls never add their little 'Polly-Pocket' dollies or baby barbies...somehow they just seem to know that dollies & Lincoln Logs just don't quite go together.
Yippee---it's Lincoln-Log-mania at our house!
