spending time out in the woods at the sugar shack in mid march
hanging with their dad and some of the siblings
collecting sap, boiling it down, enjoying the crisp but sunny weather (with no snow!) helping to split piles of wood and stack it...
they're definitely country kids
who love being outdoors and doing all the various activities connected with country living
(the kids had the camera for the afternoon and took all these pics -
i was at home enjoying the peace and quiet!)

colter is such a outdoorsy kind of guy. he gets bored easily and while they were waiting for some of the sap to boil, he hopped up and turned on the wood splitter and started splitting wood and then stacking it....
something he truly enjoys doing.
hopefully his enjoyment of work related activities continues into adulthood!
