Socks

There's a new kind of chain-letter going around.

Ceara got one. Laura got one. Lisa got one. All on the same day.

It's called, "Funky Sock Exchange."

The object is to send a pair of funky socks to the first person on your list, put your name at the bottom of the list and then send a copy of the letter to 6 of your friends. In the end, if everyone keeps the letter in circulation, each person should receive 36 pair of funky socks!

So, on Sunday, the girls went on a little shopping excursion to Kohls and they each bought a pair of funky socks for the next person on the list. I didn't realize how many cool pair of socks there were available to buy...they chose a pair of pink-pig- socks, a pair of very bright, striped socks with toes in them, and then another pair of equally funky looking socks with toes in them. Last night, after spending a few hours at the kitchen table, they were finally done compiling a list of eighteen different friends to send their letters to, addressing envelopes, and readying the three manilla envelopes and stuffing a pair of socks into each one.

It really is kind of a cool idea...and just think, if nobody breaks the chain, that means that we'll have 108 new pair of socks floating around the house! They'll probably never be satisified with their plain-jane, basic white socks ever again!
