Fishing is the sport of drowning worms
~Author Unknown
Like all fishermen, they wanted to catch a big one...but were satisfied and excited to just keep catching little ones over & over again...they experiemented with different types of bait---little pieces of hot dog, pieces of cherries and marshmallows, worms and who knows what else...
Fish in a bag! "We need a net, dad!" we heard the kids shout more than once (in anticipation of 'the' big one, I think!), but a plastic bag worked just fine.
The only reading that was done---the local newspaper & children's books!

*********We visited with our big kids, too!
-Ana came camping with us
-Shasta, who is living in the same town that we camped in, (she's living with with Jon's aunt & uncle for the summer and is working as a nanny for his cousins), spent time with us everyday...we all miss her, so it was fun to spend time with her
-Jessica, however, stayed home because of her work schedule
-We also visited with Jon, Shasta's fiance, who lives on his family's farm about 1/2 an hour away from our camping spot
