(Warning: this post is very heavy on photos. Sorry, sometimes I just can't help myself. We took lots and lots of pics and they all turned out so cute & fun - so it was hard to choose just a few to use. And, yes, I do have pics of other family members as well, but since I don't have their permission to post them, I'm just posting pics of my own family.)
The wedding was lovely, sweet, touching, and even funny at times (in a sweet way.) The bride was gorgeous and the groom handsome. They were the picture of happiness. We wish them all the best as they begin their marriage.
Much of Wayne's family was there and he loved visiting and mingling with everyone. He's in his element when he can chat and mingle and catch-up with people. Me, on the other hand, not so much. I'm not as good at small talk as he is and I dont mingle well. I prefer to find a comfy place to sit and then take it all in and observe. I'm sure I come across as anti-social to some people, but thats not the case at all....I do a lot of things well, but the whole chatting and mingling thing, not so well. Oh well.
The bride and groom...
The wedding reception:
My family - all crammed together around the table and being goofy with one another, as usual....
Some of my kids have no clue how to pose for a nice picture without their tongues hanging out or making some awful looking face...
The little girls loved going up to the bar and asking for Kiddie Cocktails. At one point they talked Ted into going with them and asking for their drinks - and Shasta followed along with the camera...
And little James loved sneaking little sips out of a kiddie cocktail too, but he mostly loved the ice cubes and that bright red maraschino cherry. And he looked so dang cute wearing a little white bow-tie --- and his hair spiked-up, with red highlights sprayed onto the ends. Ha!
Emma and Elsie found a cozy spot on Wayne's lap ("dad" aka "Papa Wayne")...looks like Papa Wayne was being goofy for the camera - and then we wonder where the big kids get it from, huh?!!
A few times we had to go out ot the lobby and let the little kids spread their wings a bit and let them run off some energy, like lots of other little kids were also doing. And as always, it was a good time to snap a few more pictures...
And so there ya have it - the wedding and wedding reception were both great and everyone had a good time. And now on to the dance.....
