Lisa's guy asked her to the Snoball dance - which apparently is a pretty big thing among the juniors and seniors at school. (Lisa is a sophomore, but her guy is older.) We really don't know much about these things since we've homeschooled the kids for ever and ever. But a fancy schmancy party dress was in order - and so about a month before the dance, we went shopping.
It was Lisa, Laura and myself - and we met up with Shasta in town...
we went to several stores, tried on lots and lots of dresses,
laughed and critiqued
and gave a thumbs up or down.
She came home with a gorgeous dress that looked stunning on her.
We three....
Shasta and Laura patiently waiting outside the fitting room...
they made themselves comfy on the floor as Lisa came out and modeled for us
Some dresses were adorable on her,
but, unfortunately, came with a price tag that
left us shaking our heads...
And some dresses were completely hideous...like this one.
At first she refused to even open the fitting room door to show us,
telling us how awful it was
but we begged and begged.
And then we laughed and laughed
and agreed with her, because it really was that bad...
yikes!!
Ha, and I love her socks in this picture...
these girls never wear matched socks, ever.
It confuses me
because i would never dream of wearing socks that
are so obviously mismatched, on purpose.
And Laura -
always bored and needing something to do.
She found a sharpie and decided to decorate the little dry erase boards
that hang on the front of each fitting room door...
that girl!
