Most of the gang went laser bowling together recently - we were missing a few of the kids, but we picked up a few extras along the way,
so we still had a large group...
Shirly, Haley, Shasta, Elsie & James joined us.
(missing from the pic below are Shasta and her kids and me)
Wayne is in the back, not posing with the kids
but he still got in the pic.
These next few pics, I think are kinda cool, so I wanted to include them.
The place was dark with lots of weird lighting
and lots of fog like stuff in the air
making it hard to see and even harder
to take pics.
But thats not gonna stop me -
and I think we got some cool ones.
Different prizes were awarded for getting a strike when specific colored pins were up front. And Marissa got herself a strike when her lane was called out - and she won a cheeseburger basket!
Of course she couldn't eat it because of the wheat bun and cheese
- but her dad gladly said he'd eat it for her!
She ate the fries and shared them with her little sister.
Here she is holding her winning coupon right before she cashed it in...
My kids were the loud, obnoxious ones at the alley that night...
they would jump up and cheer wildly for each other,
even if it was a gutter ball.
They would give high fives and say little chants and
then laugh wildly and jump up and down...
they were having fun.
I'm sure everyone in the place was hoping we'd soon leave.
None of us are great bowlers -
we rejoice when one of us hits a score of 100
because most of the time our scores are definitely less than that.
But we try.
And we have fun trying.
Well, haha,
actually I should re-phrase that because they really don't try all that hard...
they play at it more than anything,
but end up having lots of fun.
And that's really what its all about anyhow.
